Windows media player
Hi!
I have windows 98. My problem is when I'm trying to watch a live sporting event from windows media player 9. I'm getting a message that says "unable to locate proxy server- operation has timed out". I've gone into tools then options then settings and followed the directions but nothing is working. my roomates computer (with 98 also) is running it fine. The error code I'm getting is c00d2efo. Could you please tell me what to do. Thank you, James |

Sounds like your pc isn't setup for the proxy properly.
Actually, you shouldn't be able to get streaming audio/video over a proxy. Try copying all settings relating to proxy and streaming from your roommate's pc to yours. |
