Smile windows media player

Hello to all.
I have windows media player 7.0
It says it is not figured to connect to the internet and to use the internet connection wizzard.
When I click on ic wizzard it says the wizzard didn't load.
Also when I click on the tools and then options and then formats there is nothing in formats.
I go to microsoft to download windows media player 9.0 and it downloads.
But when it says agree or disagree when I ckick on agree it doesn't click nothing happens.
I found this gateway mini tower 500 essential in the garbage.
I hooked it up and it works great.
Pentium III processor
128.0 ram
38.1 gb drive with 35.7 free
It works better then my toshiba labtop running xp
System properties says I'am running 98 se.
When I go to gateways website and they scan my pc it says I am running 98
Any ideas.
I have no disc.
Thanks
GOD BLESS
