Problems playing audio CD's
I am using Win 98 B on a Compaq Armada 1700 laptop. I dont regularly
use my computer to play audio CD's, and if I do use my computer for audio, its usually to export a CD track to a Mp3 file and play that way. Back in July I installed the latest version of Quicktime for Windows 98 at that time. Quicktime took over all my audio files that normally played with Windows Media Player 7 (sorry last version that is compatible with the Windows CE HPC2000 OS, so I cant upgrade). Well just today I inserted many audio discs in my computer and discovered that they would not play. The CD basicially did nothing, and when I opened up Windows Media Player 7, the program crashed. Or when I opened up the CD Player app in the accessories/multimedia menu it was unable to play the CD. I received no error message, just a drive in use message. This is not a hardware problem, as regular CD-Roms work just fine. This is not a CD problem as CD's plays just fine in my stereo Thanks for some assistance.
