Phantom Removable Drive
As a result of a much screwed up attempt to install a removable drive (done
right on another machine and working fine), we have a phantom removable drive in the first machine. It appears in My Computer as "Removable Disk (E" (there is also the C drive and a CD drive). The drive disappears in Safe Mode. There is nothing in Device Manager in Safe or Normal Mode to arouse suspicion except a "DOT 4 Mass Storage Class Bridge for IOS", whatever that is. It doesn't really seem to bother anything but in the spirit of good housekeeping, how do we get rid of it? Many thanks, |
