Default Why no TIF directory seen in DOS?

When you look at the Windows directory in DOS, there is no "Temporary
Internet Files" directory, nor a "tempor~1" directory. Why not?

No, not there nor in any of the directories beneath that one.

Change the attributes so it is not Hidden-System.

I can't find the syntax that works -- how would you use the attrib -h
function?

Also, in windows explore, the folder/directory is not hidden.

Is it in that location when viewing with Windows Explorer?

In windows, Right Click on the parent directory and change the attributes.

It appears for me using the command DIR /A or DIR /A TEMP* in DOS
from the Windows folder. Are you sure that is where your TIF is?
It can vary in some installations, so check in IE.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-General tab.
Press Settings in the TIF section to see the current location.

Yes, the /a switch works to make it show up -- what is that switch?
