Default CD Player problem

I've got an older computer running Win98. When I try to play an audio CD it
says that it can't find "Wmplayer.exe". (I searched the entire drive and I
can't find it either.) I've got Winamp installed, if I start Winamp first,
then I can play an audio CD. I suppose the file got dumped when Winamp was
installed. How can I change the audio CD file association so it will play
with Winamp?

Thanks

check for file associations inside winamps settings

or

[start]
[settings]
[folder options]
[file types]
scroll down the list to audioCD
[edit]
select action 'play'
[edit]
change the text in "application used to perform action" to winamp, or
[browse] to winamp, make sure the last characters after you change anything
are still "%L" {quotepercentLquote} to ensure that the longfilename of the
drive is passed to winamp
