More relevant than you posting CERT pgp keys

NO, sorry, it isn't.

It only shows you have no scope of the world and what has been going on
for years...

Oh gees, maybe you need some more information since you, of course,
aren't intelligent enough to keep up with anything on your own:

Judge's restraining order takes botnet C&C system offline

Think you can manage to figure out WHY these things might have been
possible... and how that might relate to your linked materials.

Of course, you, being engaged in the unlawful and illegal distribution
of pirated software might take issue with Microsoft cleaning some of the
garbage off the Internet... to the betterment of all of us other users
of the Internet.

Many thanks to 98 Guy for posting this here. Since I don't
use any M$ products but Win 98, this is the only M$ group I
regularly access. I am glad it was posted here.

It is worthwhile to see actual facts, not speculation, on
exactly what M$ does and provides.

How does it show that?

Where did I ever say or make any case that Microsoft *does not* log or
store this information?

Where did I ever say or make any case that Law Enforcement *does not*
have access to this information?

You claim that I did not know that these things are happening, and
therefore that my posting it here is some sort of acknowledgement on my
part that this is new information to me. Why would you be so stupid as
to make such an inference?

I'm posting the exact details here because they are now available and
they are of legitimate interest to anyone who utilizes those Microsoft
services - including those of you that post to this and other Microsoft
newsgroups via microsoft's own servers.

If you have a problem with me posting that information, then why don't
you elaborate?

What kind of bizarre response is that?

Why did you feel it necessary to try to immediately hijack this thread
and turn it to a different subject?

Did you feel the need to trump me by posting what you think is more
important or significant information?

And I'll now use your own argument against you: You posting information
relating to botnets shows you have no scope of the world and what has
been going on for years. How does that fit?

Because per usual with fools like you, that YOU can understand WHAT
Microsoft does with that information, WHY it has done so, WHEN that
information might be used, and THAT it isn't concerned with parties
UNLESS they are engaged in *criminal* activity. Just like every society
where all of us live, presuming you aren't actually physically dead,
since you appear to be BRAIN DEAD.

Now moron, go play somewhere off of Microsoft's forums if your so scared...
