JPG/BMP/ETC Defaults?
I had to download software for a digital camera, but it killed almost ALL my
image settings and switched it to that of the camera (which was really annoying because the icons were ALL THE SAME), so I uninstalled the camera to see if the defaults would come back, and they didn't, now I just can't open JPGs, BMPs, and GIFs... but like... is there a way I can restore the default settings, because it'd be nice to be able to open images without going through photoshop... it gets tiring. |

Reinstall the program that you previously used to view photos. If you used
IE, download this freebie: Irfanview: A very good freeware graphics viewer: http://www.irfanview.com/ -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Veritas" u15667@uwe wrote in message news:573a288ddb720@uwe... Yeeeah, but will Irfanview give me different icons for the different image
types? There's a bunch of different image things I could do, but what's annoying is that they ALL look the same. Like before, the BMP images were the. ..I think Paint icon, but it isn't anymore, so whatever I install for images, it'll look the same as what I have for JPG, and I NEED them to be different. I don't recall what Irfanview does--give it a shot and find out. If the
icons are not satisfactory, assign the icons of your choice to the various photo file types. To do so, open Explorer, click view, folder options and the file types tab. Scroll to a format (.gif for example), double click it and use the change icon button. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Veritas via WindowsKB.com" u15667@uwe wrote in message news:57414604ffb1b@uwe...
