File association problem
Kodak Easy Share (avoid at all cost) which came bundled with my
camera (and is a piece of ****) has screwed up my file associations. Windows ME. I tried to reset the association for .BMP back to MSPaint. I do that, a look at the properties for a .bmp file says it opens with Paint, but double clicking on a .BMP file brings up the OpenWith dialog. Checking the box with "Always use this program to open these files" has no effect. In the FileTypes dialog, when BMP is highlighted I see the following message: "You have customized files with extension 'BMP'. To restore these files to their default type (EasyShare bmp), click Restore." The file type cannot be deleted. Help! Dan Mercer |

File association problem
I have ACDSee with my Pentax camera.......and yes, it opens most of my
photos. Not entirely a bad thing. But.....I just checked it and have a look in Easy Share under Options I imagine......and see if File Extensions is there. Untick the BMP one......and any others. Just a WAG, really. Cheers.....Heather "Dan Mercer" wrote in message ...
