Default Autologon

I would like to enable Autologon in a computer running Windows Me. How could
I modify the registry?

Since you're posting this to a totally irrelevant group for your question, I
can only assume that you know not of what you ask.

What exactly are you trying to achieve using Autologon? - what you think it
does and what it actually does are probably totally different things.

Richard, Ive just been interested in completing this as well.

Recently I was on a home network and now have a direct connection.

Ive just changed from Microsoft network configuration from the advice of the
link provided.

How can I remove the log off portion on start button?

Also, now with the change in Network, how do I remove the computer name and
such under the identification.

Thanks

You can remove the Log Off command with TweakUI:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;190644

Or you can change it with Regedit if you're comfortable with that process:

http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/517/

I'm not sure what you're asking about the "computer name and such" - can you
give me a few more details on what you're hoping to accomplish?

Well I forgot to remove the Client for Microsoft Networks, which solved a few
issues, I guess what I had prior was a name for the computer and a name for
the network.

So I was trying to remove this.
