My Pictures folder
Something went wrong with the pictures in my "My Pictures"
folder. They are being displayed as icons instead of thumbnails. The icons that are displayed are those of the programs that I have tried to change the "Opens With" screen to. I am curious as to what the original setting is for ME, so that I can see them as thumbnails again. I have tried all that I can. Please help. TIA |

My Pictures folder
Thumbnails problem:
It appears that you when you installed your graphics applications they damaged some of the necessary registry entries used to produce thumbnails. To fix the thumbnail problem, enter the following from a command prompt such as Start | Run: REGSVR32 THUMBVW.DLL and press enter. This should re-register thumbvw.dll and hopefully add back the necessary missing registry entries. -- Mike Maltby Russell wrote: Something went wrong with the pictures in my "My Pictures" folder. My Pictures folder
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can see my pictures
again without having to click on them. I saved the command in a notebook file in case it happens again. Then all I'll have to do is cut & paste. You would not believe the number of people I have asked about this. Thanks again. -----Original Message----- Thumbnails problem: It appears that you when you installed your graphics applications they damaged some of the necessary registry entries used to produce thumbnails.
