SSL Port "Plug in" for Win98?
Hi,
My Win98 laptop(s) includes WinXP on the D: HD partition (dual boot PC(s)). My Verizon ISP sent a notice that I will have to use a SSL port to receive/download email from their POP server after 04-28-15. Note: I have to use WinXP to send email via Agent 7.2. Is their a SSL port "plug in" for Win98? Note: I use KernelEx V4.5.2 in Win98se. Thank You in advance, John |

SSL Port "Plug in" for Win98?

Not Need for Outlook Express Thank You in advance, John SSL POP port Number of or mail server Here a list of all Default Ports of Servers and Their Authentication with Their Port Numbers https://www.arclab.com/en/kb/email/l...rver-list.html For outlook http://mynews.from-tx.com/win-98/out...vanced_SSL.jpg Verizon Server: Authentication: Port: SMTP Server (Outgoing Messages) outgoing.verizon.net SSL 465 POP3 Server (Incoming Messages) incoming.verizon.net SSL 995 Hi Billy Ray, I think I left out some information. Agent 7.2 (email client like Outlook Express) is on both Win98 & WinXP partitions in the same computer with exactly the same settings. I have the SSL port selected in Agent. In Win98, when I launch Agent and try to download my email, I get the following message, "Connection closed unexpectedly by server". This message produced by Agent. When I reboot the computer into WinXP, using the very same Agent 7.2 with the exact same settings, I can send and receive email without any errors. John |
