Default keyboard lockup

My keyboard at times stops working in Windows 98SE. It is
a Smart Keyboard FCC ID: MWIEZ-9000. anyone have
suggestions what to look at?

Are you sure that it's a problem with the keyboard? Try a different
keyboard and see if the same thing happens (borrow one from a friend for an
hour or so if you don't have more than one in your household).

Try clean booting and see if the problem still occurs.
