Print Screen Items With W98SE
"Fred" sorry@no can do.net wrote in message
... Couple of years back I was able to print things like the Device Mgr, etc directly from the screen. I can't remember what program I was using at the time. Don't think it was a Win98 app. Any suggestions ? A "Save window image" function is built into Windows (i.e. is not a separately-named app.) used by: 1. Key simultaneously ALT and Print Screen; this saves to clipboard a graphic image of the current window or whole screen. 2. Load any graphic app (e.g. MS Paint) and in an empty file use the Paste command (Ctrl-V). This copies from the clipboard into the app. 3. You can then edit, enlarge, or print the graphic image as you please. For #1 try experimenting with Print Screen button alone and with Ctrl or Alt. You may find one saves the whole display and another saves only the currently logged window. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

There is a program that will allow you to just hit the print screen
key and send the active window to the printer. Download the lite version. See: http://www.rhoadescompany.com/clipprt/ Henry Don Phillipson wrote: "Fred" sorry@no can do.net wrote in message ...
