Default Slow Performance on Windows 98

I have a computer in my office that runs on Windows 98.
It runs on a Pentium II processor, so it goes kind of
slow anyway. However, recently I received an e-mail in
my personal account that said, "Take a look at the
attached file." There was a file with the filename
all_document.pif attached to the e-mail. I was curious,
so I clicked on it. Ever since I did that, my office
computer has been running very slow and locks up every so
often when I am on the Internet. Could I possibly have
downloaded a virus onto my computer, and if so, how do I
get rid of it?

The .pif was undoubtedly a virus/trojan. Run a full scan with an up to date
anti virus program.
