Default zipfile causing service profile error

Greeting to all. I'm trying to open up a zip file I
downloaded from the internet. A workbook for a grammer
refresher course. When I try to open it, I get a message
saying "service profle damaged, re-install service
profile. What is a service profile? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I recieved a number of responses to the above problem, but
none have worked. I've tried to delete the "connection
manager" in the registry. Its doesn't exsist. I've went
to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE MICROSOFT. But when
trying to find "connection manager", it wasn't there. Any
more help would be greatly appreciated

Always post back to your original thread, please, Bill:

Do you have MSN or AOL installed?

You don't have this key?...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Connection Manager

Copy/paste the following line into an IE Addressbar, click on GO, then
copy/paste the results into your reply:

javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion

Also state your Windows version (Win98? Win98SE? Did you upgrade from
Win95?)

What application are you using to open the zip file?

I have no idea what opening a zip file has to do with the Connection
Manager and the key you quote may not be present if you haven't
installed MSN, so I suspect you are taking a solution for the service
profile error out of context. I gather you are reading a response for
a problem with the MSN dialer (or perhaps other dialers)
