Default automatic updates

After a few questions regarding spyware, I have run the spybot program which
has identified a number of applications that have registered a Uninstaller
on my system which do not show on the add/remove program.

The following are as follows as request for your assistance in these
applications:

dxm runtime
icw
direct draw ex
fontcore
ie5bakex
scheduling agent
mobile option pack
iedata
msjavarun
mstask
ie4data
pc health
address book
branding
microsoft net show player 2
expinst
ie_extra
vgx
ie read me
m player 2

I dont really use any sort of drawing program. Would like to remove any IE
broswer information as I have the current version. As for the remaining
applications ... is there a need for these?

Thank you and appreciate your repsonse.

Most if not all of those are part of the operating system and I would

I would most strongly
recommend that you use a proper spyware/malware tool and not one that
delves into areas you and it appear not to understand.

For S&D I think the "results of scan" display are enough. Oddly enough
mine (was) set up to ignore new.net components

I think that's how everyone of us works, Sean.
The only, real difference is that some of us have a slightly steeper
learning curve.
