Last build of Win98SE
Other than pre-release builds, there was only really one build of Windows 98
SE. 4.10.2222. The letters after the build number have to do with how it was distributed (4.10.2222A was applied to all that were obtained directly from Microsoft or at retail, plus the standard OEM CD, while succeeding letters were added to some special OEM builds and foreign distributions (IIRC). If you apply the Windows Security Updates CD, the version number will change to 4.10.2223, but it's still the same build, really. You could apply those same updates individually and the version number wouldn't change. -- Gary S. Terhune MS MVP for Win9x "Lee" wrote in message ... Is 4.10.2222A the last build of Win98SE? Last build of Win98SE
After installing the Windows Security cd and all the updates my version went
to 4.10.2222 B from 4.10.2222 A. This was in the general tab of system properties. How did you get version 4.10.2223, Gary? Some secret update -- bg LOL "Gary S. Terhune" wrote in message ...
