Default Driver for eStar Portable Drive

Does anyone know how or where to get a Win 98 USB driver for an eStar
Portable Hard Drive (120 GB, USB 2.0)? I'm trying to use the drive on
my Toshiba laptop with Win98.

Does it look like this:

If so, I /might/ have a driver.

As I recall Windows 98SE supported USB, but only 1.1...

So.... good luck

The issue isn't just the USB port, it's also the drive. Win98 (and
98SE) fully supports USB but it does not have it's own standard,
built-in drivers for ANY mass storage devices.

Plus, you will need a driver for the specific USB 2.0 port as well that
works under the OS that you are using. While most USB 2 ports have
drivers for 98SE, relatively few will have them for 98 (1st edition).

So you need two drivers for 98 (or 98SE, as may be the case:

-A driver for the USB port
-A driver for the eStar portable hard drive

In both cases, however, the issue may (likely does) come down to drivers
for the chips used to implement two devices (the port and the hard
drive). Depending on the chip, these may or may not be available.

Out of the box - yes. However USB2 drivers should be available on the
Microsoft website or from the laptop manufacturer for the motherboard's
chipset.

For who ever wanted it, as the bid price is $1 why not just buy the
housing complete with software?? Also it's not the box that determines
the drivers but the electronic inside.
