Hardware recognition problem.
I have a strange problem that is driving me nuts.
I've installed my HP printer onto my Win98SE system. Once booted up everything works perfectly but while booting Windows comes up with a window that it's found new hardware, ,My HP printer which is already installed. Happens every time I boot up and with any printer installed. I've tried uninstalling the printer and re-installing it in "Add new hardware", from the "Found new hardware window" from the start menu. Nothing makes this annoying window go away. Anyone have a suggestion? Mike |

Hardware recognition problem.
Usually this "annoying window" means that you didn't install the device or
drivers properly. For example, most USB printers require that you install the drivers BEFORE you connect the printer. Your best bet is to disconnect the printer, remove the drivers, then reinstall them according to the manufacturer's instructions. -- Richard G.
