Default Installing Dimage Z2 Digital Camera

I am running a Dell Dimension 8100 Desktop with Windows
Millenium Edition. I plug the USB cord into the camera and
them the USB port on the back of PC, and nothing happens.
New batteries are in the camera. Plug and play will not
pick it up, and neither will the new hardward wizard. I'm
ready to take the camera back. I love it, but it's doing
me no good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chad,
I have the same problem but with a Samsung camera, the
closest I come to an answer is that it has something to do
with the USB port. If you find an answer I'd sure like to
hear it.

thanks,

Chad,
actually I've found an answer, if you scroll to page 12
and look for 'USB driver's for Nikon ......'
you'll find the answer in the reply posts.
