Default Was there ever a "comp.os.ms-windows.win98" newsgroup?

There is a small win-95 hierarchy along the lines of

comp.os.ms-windows.win95.

But there doesn't ever seem to have been comp.os.ms-windows.win98. Does
anyone know why?

I ask because I was looking at this:

This is a formal Request for Discussion (RFD) to remove the following
198 unmoderated newsgroups.

And noticed the proposal to delete this group:

comp.os.ms-windows.win95.setup

There was an alt.comp.os.win-98 group
There were a lot of alt.comp.os groups over the years. My recollection
from that time was that I found more good operating system-specifc
groups in the alt.comp hierarchy, and more hardware-specific groups in
the comp.sys and alt.comp.sys hierarchies. YMMV...
