Compatible version of MicroSoft Word for Windows Me

I have never used Microsoft Word before, and I want to
install it on my computer which is run under Windows Me. I
don't want to change to Windows XP, 2000, or 2003. I do
not want to install a version which won't work such as
Windows 2003. I have been used WordPerfect as my word
processing program for a long time and am very satisfied
with it. But...most commercial companies insist on using
MS Word and the associated programs use with it. Bottom
line: What version of MS Word would work under Windows Me
without a hitch? How would I acquire a copy of that
version, if MS doesn't sell it anymore? Can somebody help
me? Thanks

Word 97, Word 2000 and Word XP (aka Word 2002) all work on Win Me without
problems. Word 95 and earlier will also work but I wouldn't advise going
there. You might want to check out eBay.
