I am attempting to install WIN 98SE on a Dell Latitude. I formatted the HD
and am doing a clean install. I received the error message SUWIN caused a
General Protection Fault in module USER.EXE at 000B:0094

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you got a SUWIN error number go he
"SU" Error Message List for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Me
Setup
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q129971/

If you didn't get an error number scroll down past the numbers and
look at them.

Make sure you entered the correct Product Key, that's a common SU
error. Some letters and numbers are hard to tell apart.

What kind of problems were you having that led you to format the drive and
start over? I am suspecting that you may have some bad ram and you can
download DocMemory, a free testing program he

Thanks for that; always nice to have an alternative to the usual, and
interesting that MS do one themselves.
