Invalid page faults

Something has happened to my computer at work recently. Iget an error when
opening Internet Explorer that says " Explorer has caused an invalid page
fault in module unknown at 00000: and I forget the rest of the address. Ive
tried everything I could find to fix this problem. If I close out the error
my desktop looses everything but the background. The only way to get it to
work is to push the reset, not a good procedure but thats all that will work
then it reboots and runs normal till I try to access Internet explorer.
Someone please help!

Do you regularly scan for virus and spyware with up to date programs?

That could be a tough one. Did you install anything new lately? Do a
virus/spyware scan as suggested. Then, read through the following & get

I have also noticed that when I try to run Symantecs online scan it wont
load.Some other programs I try to run online wont run and that has never
happened before. Also ran adware away and it found a trojan that it took care
of but why wont symantecs scan run? Do you think reloading or doing a repair
would fix it? Did sfc and dont seem to be missing anything according to sfc

You must study those articles I posted. That is a good report from SFC. Are you fully updated at "START, Windows Update"? I guess you may...

(1) "START, Run, MSInfo32, Tools tab, IE Repair Tool".
E & IE are closely related. However, I'm not sure it does all
that much, and some do report it crashes on their machine, apparently in
an orderly manner. It does produce a rather long "Fix IE Log.txt" in
C:\Windows. If it crashes, a reinstall of IE is indicated.
