Default Duplicate files in C:\Windows\Installer, okay to remove?

I am running on Windows98 second edition. In running a program to check
for duplicate files (Dupeless) several sets of files that are
duplicates in C:\Windows\Iinstaller appear. My question: Is it okay to
erase one of the duplicates? The sets of duplicate files a

21c3b1.msp and 21c3de.msp (56,269,996 bits each)

3c38e8.msp and 3c3926.msp (3,865,088 bits each)

40d6c2.msp and 40d6e8.msp (3,921,920 bits each)

TIA

Right-click each of the files in turn, selecting Properties. Look at the
Summary tab. Are the supposed duplicates for exactly the same
program/version? Those files are used during uninstalling or changing the
installation of some certain program or suite, so the worst that could
happen is you'd have to run the appropriate installer from the original
media if you wanted to change the installation or uninstall it altogether.
You'd be stuck if you don't have the installation media for the program and
are asked for it.
