mswrd832.cnv

everything I try to open an email attachment that I
download it comes out as wordpad and will not let me open
it with anything. I have works, wordpad,notepad etc I get
the message MSWRD 932.CNV. Someone please help!!

The error you are seeing is because you are trying to open a document
written using a later version of MS Word than can be opened with WordPad.
For details see MS KB 276337 - "WD2000: Problems Opening Word Document in
WordPad" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=276337).

Rather that trying to use WordPad to read documents produced in Word you
might want to consider downloading and installing the free Microsoft Word
viewer (http://office.microsoft.com/download...wd97vwr32.aspx).

thanks, wordviewer only lets me view, cannot cut and paste
or save as.......... then says I do not have a editor if I
try to open and edit........

the support website says open and save as....cannot open!!

Not surprisingly a viewer is just that, a viewer. If you want a copy of
Word that will enable you to edit and create Word files then you can
purchase a copy from your local computer store.

The installation of the Word Viewer will install msword832.cnv to
Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv
You could also try the Repair option for Office/Word 97 from
Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel :
