I'm looking for some recommendations for good zip/unzip
software that will work with ME. Hope you have some
thoughts on this fine April day.

Thank you.

Win Me's built in Compressed folders facility perhaps, alternatively you
could try any of WinZip, WinRar, WinACE. etc.

Thanks for your response Mike.
Re "Win Me's built in Compressed folders facility", I knew I
could right click on a .zip and select "Extract All" to
unzip but honestly did not know what application was being
used. Where do I find the "Compressed folders facility" in
my system? Does it allow you to also "zip" files?

Hi David, thanks for your IZArc suggestion. Should I be
concerned that it is a "beta 3" version?

Sorry Mike, disregard my questions. Found the answers in MS
Knowledge Base.

If installed (Add/Remove Programs | Windows Setup | System Tools - Details
| check "Compressed Folders", then click OK, Apply and finally reboot)
"Compressed Folders" is part of the shell, that is the GUI.

Yes. Select the files to be zipped, right click and then Send To and then
Compressed Folder. You can then rename the "compressed folder", which is a
zip file, to suit your requirements.
