Keyboard Problems
My PS/2 keyboard doesn't work at all. The only sign of it actually being
connected is when the "Caps Lock", "Scroll Lock" , and "Num Lock" keys light up just as I turn on the computer. In Device Manager, there is no keyboard listed, but the keyboard worked once. I installed the software that came along with my keyboard, but it still doesn't work. If I have to install the Windows driver for the keyboard, I don't have it available, since my Windows ME cd is lost. |

Keyboard Problems
Never mind, i found the problem... I just don't know how I'm going to fix it.
I needed to install the Windows Keyboard driver, but I still don't have my ME cd. I guess I'll find a way. |

All of the files required to install Win Me including basic drivers such
as that for the keyboard should be located in either C:\Windows\Options\Cabs or C:\Windows\Options\Install. -- Mike Maltby Max Power wrote: Never mind, i found the problem... Keyboard Problems
Thank you very much, I found the files I needed. But the keyboard still
doesn't work. I am right not using a borrowed USB keyboard which works just fine on my computer, but I would like to use my keyboard. It seems like it works when I go to Add New Hardware because the computer detects it, but then after I install it, it still doesn't work. Keyboard Problems
If a usb keyboard works and a PS2 not then the problem is unlikely to be
due to lack of keyboard drivers and could be due to problems with the actual keyboard. You could however try booting to Safe Mode (ensure first though that you have enabled USB legacy support in the bios otherwise your usb keyboard won't work), open the Device Manager and delete all PS2 keyboard related entries. Boot back in to normal mode with the PS2 keyboard attached and let Win Me redetect your hardware and reinstall the drivers. If that still fails look to the keyboard, its cable and the PS2 plug. -- Mike Maltby Max Power wrote: Thank you very much, I found the files I needed. But the keyboard still doesn't work.
