No problems here until I changed ISP's and A-Squared said that Canada's
top ISP was a trojan. And Limewire became suspect as well. Can't get a
virus from the Limeware program.....and I don't download anything other
than music, so won't get a virus that way either.

I didn't trust CCleaner.....simply because I couldn't pick and choose
what I wanted it to remove.

How come I can, Figgs?
Harry.

No other reason.

Hi Harry,

A-squared: no problems either.

CCleaner: IMO the main feature is exactly the "Cleaner" that I find
excellent.

Cheers.

"webster72n" wrote in message

Things have been getting a little confusing on this subject, Zee..
Isn't the "Issue" in CCleaner the main object in it?
The choice for the available toolbar was clear to me.
And where a-squared is concerned, no probs here either.
Endresult: We keep using those "Gooddies" and Heather is going to be
"without"; that's too bad.

Harry
My cookies are of a different kind.

"oops!!" wrote in message

Harry,

IMO the only "not to be trusted" utility in CCleaner is the "Issues"
section, a registry cleaner that is as dangerous as any other
registry
cleaner available.

As a Crap Cleaner, I have no doubts it is one of the best.

Zee
and I really don't like cookies.

"webster72n" wrote in message

How come you don't talk to Figgs, H?
My cookie only crumbles when I eat it and then it tastes
soooooo good.

Harry,
and I like my cookies.

"Heirloom" wrote in message

I've been using it for some time now, no probs. Thanks for the
'heads
up',
Alias.
I find it odd, Harry, that you are getting so many items
"extracted for
deletion." It is only on rare occasion that I have any issues
found.
Heirloom, old and whatever crumbles your
cookie

"webster72n" wrote in message
...

I must jump on your wagon, Heather.
There are too many things being extracted for deletion, which
seem
too
important to me to remove, even though one can save them for
the
registry
as
backup.
Maybe it would be best to get rid of the program as you did.
But then there are some people here, who like it, right?

Harry.

"Heather" wrote in message

Just a heads up on this program. I used it for a bit but got
thoroughly
ticked off when it identified my ISP (Sympatico) as a trojan
and
even
gave it a name that Google never heard of.

I wrote their tech support and sent them the 4 suspect files
which
had
been totally cleared by Virus Total, btw......and all they did
was
ask
me for one of them again.

Next update, it went back to October 2005 (I see on the Forum
that
this
happened to a lot of people)....then it started calling
Limewire
some
sort of *suspicious file*. That is when I decided to chuck it
and
when
you uninstall it, you are taken to a website asking why you
are
doing
so.

I told them once again and that was that!! Seems the author
(Andreas)
doesn't care that this program false alarms.....particularly
on my
internet connection (VBG). Never heard one word from them.

Be Aware.....Heather

Yup, been having a few probs myself.........seems my ZAPro went south on me.
The bad part was that it was intermittent and it took me a while to narrow
down the issue. I finally did a clean install and solved the problem.
Don't know what caused it, but, it happened right after I had updated the
Hosts file.........can't imagine what that had to do with it, especially
since I have updated the file again and no probs. Hope you are doing
well.....I'm learning Spanish, but, I don't think my teacher is all together

It is....LOL!! Which shows you how bad Google is....plus a few Texas
errors in spanish.

Where you made your error was saying "mia" .. should be "mi casa" which
is my house. What in heck is a "chalupa"?? Not to mention "pisado"....

Tried them in Babelfish (same translator as Google)....still get that
small canoe.

Besos a mi amigo de Merkin.....lol. Sra. Figgs

When you install it, you have the option to untick that being
installed. I didn't care much for that either.

Yep....I howled!! Put it in Google or Babelfish. Amazing how one

And Texans are supposed to speak some spanish.....HAH!!

Harry.....it is all in the way you "hold your mouth" as my mother would
have said!! (G) And I am finicky about programs doing what I
want....not what they want.

"Mia" is indeed Spanish. Example, "¿De quién es la casa? La casa es mia.".

And Texans are supposed to speak some spanish.....HAH!!

I lived in Texas and Texans don't speak English properly, much less Spanish.

Cheers....Sra. Figgs

I haven't had ZA problems just router/network ones.
After much troubleshooting, resetting the router several times which was
problematic at times finally yesterday morning nobody could connect so a
bit more sorting out and got myself connected but nobody else g
everything got switched off a couple of times but only I could connect
then when Kelly switched on her machine she was OK.
Finally another reboot of the router and everything was up and running
again, and switching on this morning all seems OK but Kelly's not here so
haven't put her machine on yet g

It seems though that in the last week quite a few people in the area have
had router/connections problems.
