Default Win 98 to 98 printing

Hello,
I am having a problem with printing from one Win98 SE to another Win98 SE
client. This was working at one time and appears to be becoming more wide
spread on our network. Shared printers on Win 98 CLients are not asking for
IPC$ password. These are just 98 client to 98 client machines. Yes file and
print sharing is enabled and yes it did work in the past. I have unshared and
reshared the printer..uninstalled and reinstalled networking ....file and
print sharing. Been through all the post and some get close but then they
always appear to be about WIn XP and 98 client communication and sharing.

Again this has been working all along and just seems to have changed
recently but I can not link it to any changes as we have made none.

Please any help would be great.

First determine if there is a problem with local printing on this computer.
Low disk space is one possible cause of slow printing. See this article for

Patty,

Thanks...I did the basic troubleshooting prior to posting. Yes I can print
locally from the machine that has the printer connected directly.

This issue id the IPC$ share I can initially connect to the printer and
print fine from another pc but then upon trying to print again later I get
prompted for the IPC$ share password. The IPC$ Share is Inter-Process
Communication it is used for data sharing between applications and computers,
typically there is no user interaction with this share.

Thanks,
Jamie
