Default a &d drives not accessible

Both my A and d drives show a message "Not accessible,
device is not ready" I have tried disabling my Norton
Auto Protect but it did not solve the problem...any
suggestions?

What is the D drive? Is it a partition on your first hard disk drive, a
second hard disk drive, a CD or DVD drive, or a different storage device
such as USB memory stick? Check your floppy drive cables. Use another
machine to confirm that the floppy disk you are testing the drive with is
properly formatted Replace the floppy drive with a known-good unit to
confirm that it hasn't simply failed.
