Default A: drive

Im having a problem with my floppy drive. It will not
work in windows. I looked at the device manager and it
said "Drive A is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file
system." How do I change this to use disks in windows. It
also will not let me format the drive. What should I do?
HELP!!!!!!!!

Thank you (if you help me)

Hi Jack,

Restart your computer by holding down the ctrl key and use the
"boot menu" to enter a safe mode windows session. Then in Device
Manager, locate and delete floppy drives *and* the floppy disk controllers.
Restart to see if Win98 re-detects properly.
