Errors

What causes errors like: "A fatal exception 00 at
0028:C16261c7. The current application will be
terminated."? How should we troubleshoot it? My PC
shutdowns on its own also after being connected online for
a few minutes using certain ISPs. My screen turns black
with the words "Windows protection error...." and then
shuts down.

You could search Google Groups for past posts on a
particular error message by searching Google Groups.

But that looks to me as if your RAM is faulty or not
properly seated in its slots.

First try removing and reseating the modules, and then if
that doesn't work test it with the free Memtest86 from
http://www.memtest86.com/
