Pictures in Internet Explorer

On some of the websites I call up frequently (safe ones)
the pictures fail to display in the browser. I have
checked out the help in IE and followed the steps in
Internet Options ,advanced,multimedia and ensured all the
settings are correct.
I can go to some websites and the pictures show ok for
the page whereas on some other sites no pictures will
show at all.
Anybody come across this problem
