installing a printer not listed (lexmark z12)

Hi,
I am trying to install a lexmark z12 printer....but its not listed in the
printers...my husband bought it at a garage sale,no owners manual or disk,ugh
how do I find out what one I can use since it isnt listed? tyvm for any
help anyone can give

Go here and find the downloads you need. Typically, you leave the
printer disconnected until you have installed the drivers and support
software. Then shut down and connect the printer, restart, and it should
be detected and installed automatically. In any case, read and follow
the directions provided.

Note that there may be "firmware" updates available for your printer, in
which case you would do that after installing. Be *extra* careful to
follow firmware update instructions precisely.

I know where I would put a Lexmark.... in the black container
outside.....the cartridges are far too expensive....Bob

I've found their life cycle to be far, far below any MS product.
