Default ISDN Apapter keeps appearing

Since networking my laptop(XP) to my desktop(98SE) with great help from
newsgroups I find that when the desktop starts a window appears saying Now
you have installed ISDN Adapter please give more information about the phone
etc. I cancel it each time but how do I get rid of this please?

Also could someone tell me now that my desktop(Client) is not directly
connected to a phone connection is it essential that I have a working modem
fitted. In other words if the modem went bust do I really require to replace
it

Blair Malcolm
