After accessing Yahoo mail and closing IE, if you try to relaunch IE it locks up the system and has to be physically turned off to restart. I've tried resetting cookies and adding Yahoo to trusted sites. All of the most recent updates are installed and it is running McAfee AV. Any ideas?

I haven't had that experience accessing Yahoo with IE so far. I use NAV
instead of McAfee but I wouldn't think that would be the problem. Are you
running a firewall, PestPatrol, WinPatrol, etc.? Installed any browser
helpers?

Depending on your bandwidth, you might want to get another browser and see
if you have the same problem with it. I just downloaded Firefox
(http://www.mozilla.org/products/fire...eases/0.9.html) and am pleased
with it so far.

Thank you, but I finally got it working again. First I went through and ran Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, and a full virus scan with no results. Then I ran HijackThis to see what services were running and see if anything was hiding in the registry, but I still didn't find anything. Finally, I uninstalled, then reinstalled, and applied updates & service packs. I did this install/uninstall process about 3 times because some part of the installation or update process would either fail or just totally screw up IE each time. It seems to be working fine now, so I think it may have been something to do with the order the updates were installed. Users can really screw up their mahcines!
