Default CD roms disappeared

CD Room disappeared. Easy CD Creator was installed.
Uninstalled Easy CD Creator but computer still does not
recognize Compaq DVD - ROM or the DVD - 115... Help!?

Default CD roms disappeared

Boot into safe mode, open device manager, remove all CD or DVD drives,
reboot and Windows should 'find' the hardware.
