I have not used DOS in awhile and my DOS 6.22 book does not have instructions on how to load From the CD right to the hard drive. When I typed MD C:\Win98 it came back with the directory already exists? So then I entered CD Win98, it went to it but when I tried the Copy E:\Win98\*.* C:\Win98 it said to many parameters? What am I doing wrong? Help! Thanks Rick Is there anything in the Win98 folder when you enter Dir C:\win98 /p? If it contains dozens of CAB files that means the folder on the CD has already been copied. If it includes Setup.exe then run it to install Windows. If the folder contains misc. files then install into a Win98cd folder instead: Boot with a Win98 startup diskette with CDrom support. Enter C: From the C:\ prompt enter: MD C:\Win98cd Copy E:\Win98\*.* C:\Win98cd Where E: is your CDrom drive. Then run Setup from the Win98cd folder and you won't need your CDrom. Let us know.
