Redirect LPT1 to COM4
Is there anyway to redirect LPT1 to COM4?
I need this because now I'm using a USB bluetooth adapter at desktop PC and a Parallel Printer USB adapter to connet wiressly my Epson FX1170 matrix printer, and my bluetooth virtual print port is COM4 and I still need to use some DOS software that only print at LPT port. Thank in advance, Bitman Tue, 29 Jun 2004 02:29:36 -0300 === Posted with Qusnetsoft NewsReader 2.1.0.10 |

Redirect LPT1 to COM4
Try this. Share the printer. Add it as a network printer. Browse to the
printer and add it. You should receive a dialog that asks if you print from MS-DOS based programs. Click Yes, then click Next and click the button that says "Capture Printer Port". If you have no printer on LPT1, you could capture that port but if your MS-DOS program can be configured to print to any other LPT port, then choose another port that you don't actually have - such as LPT2. (Sun, 04 Jul 2004 11:49:32) about " Redirect LPT1 to COM4": I can't do this. When I try to connect thru the LAN, after select to capture, I receive an error window that there is impossible to connect LPT1 to \\(my computer)\FX1170 saying "This operation cannot be executed in the present state of the impression destiny". I'm disturbed about this.
