i am trying to install windows 98 on a pc but the pc
keeps telling me that there is a missing file called dll
file/msvcrt.dll does any one know what this is

Windows setup is trying to read files from the CDROM drive,
but cannot find the files because it cannot find the drive.

Can you provide more details to confirm that this guesstimate
of your problem is accurate?

Where did you get the boot disk?

Does this problem happen right after Windows has to reboot
to complete the installation?

Does it ask you if you want to boot from the hard drive
or the CDROM drive? If so, what is your response?
