Boot Failure
Uninstalled Norton Anti-Virus as recommended prior to loading Windows XP -
now can only boot in safe mode and can't read CD drive to reinstall or install new operating system. Tried going back to prior settings - lost in space. Any suggestions? -- Nancy@Bellair |

Boot to Safe Mode and use system restore to return your system to the state it was in before the problem after which you can have a second go at removing the Norton Virus. Check out the Symantec site where you will find they have tools to help remove all traces of their Norton product from your system. -- Mike Maltby |
