Default Linksys wpc54g wireless network card

I have a wpc54g wireless card and running win98se Everytime I try to install
it everything goes fine it asks that i restart to complete the installation
when i do as it starts up i get an error ' 10093 WSAStartup improper
shutdown ' the shutdown goes on its own as well as the startup i dont
understand can anyone help?
