Default Computer freezes when I hit right mouse button

Hi,

This last two days, when I hit the right mouse button to bring up the menu,
my computer just freezes. You can see the egg timer symbol, but nothing
else happens. I tried changing the mouse, but this is not the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Fred

Did you install some software lately? Try uninstalling. Probably there is a
contextmenu item installed which won't give it's title/icon.

Is there anything in the CDrom or the floppy drive?
If you have a CD in the drive the machine will have to
read it first before opening the right click menu.
Or as the other poster suggested.
Did you download any new programs that would have put a
new entry in the "Send To" list?
