Default ASPIENUM.VDX Error at Start-Up

I am getting the "can't find ASPIENUM.VXD" error at start-
up. I've Googled and read that it is a file associated
with Adaptec products. I have searched and found that I
currently have NO Adaptec products on this computer. How
can I eleminate this error at start-up?

Default ASPIENUM.VDX Error at Start-Up

You don't have to have any Adaptec products to need the file, as it is part of the
ASPI layer used by other applications also.

The file can be found in the Cabinet files on the Windows 98 CD, or the .cab file
location on your hard drive.

You can extract the file using the System File Checker (SFC) option to "Extract one
file", to the Windows\System folder...see here for details:
