It appears that Conexant acquired Smartlink's business and promptly
ditched all support for Smartlink modem products:

Intex support (such as it is):
http://www.intextechnologies.com/int.../ser_query.htm

You may be able to use drivers for a modem with the same chipset.

For example, here are SL1801-2800 drivers from DIS Technology:
