I didn't trust CCleaner.....simply because I couldn't pick and choose what I wanted it to remove. How come I can, Figgs? Harry.....it is all in the way you "hold your mouth" my lips are sealedg. : I may have to take back all the good things I said about CC. It seems the new version comes with the Yahoo! toolbar integrated into the install. File size has changed a lot as well: CCleaner126 529KB CCleaner127 1.25MB Note that there are two versions you can download that do not contain the Yahoo toolbar. I had to dig around to find them, though. It might not be a bad idea to grab one while they are still available. The following builds are for system admins and advanced users. They are not for distribution or mirroring. CCleaner v1.27.260 - Basic - No Toolbar 0.54MB Download now CCleaner v1.27.260 - Slim - No Toolbar - English Only 0.40MB Download now http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp |

Thanks, Reg. That is what I ended up with, the difference being the
additional 'crap' in the setup file. Thanks for the info, however........I will pass that along. Heirloom, old and stickin' with the slim "Reg Edit" ] wrote in message ... Are we talking about CCleaner??? If so, where do you see anything
regarding registration?? I see nothing with regard to a 'reg button' on the GUI. That explains a lot.......I thought you were talking about registration of
the app, not the Registry! I should have known. I use the "Issues" cleaner, but, carefully and always use the backup feature. Like you, I like the jv16 reg cleaner and I use the backup feature there, as well. Plus, I keep a complete disk backup on a separate drive and another on a 'secure' drive. Unless the whole place burns down, I am covered. g Heirloom, old and can't have too many backups "bob94030" wrote in message ... hi h, i meant issue button.....when pressed it comes up blank now....i put q. launch b. on task bar and didn't want any users an easy way to mess up.....i use "easy cleaner" for reg. cleaning, never a problem....and old jv16 for deeper cleaning "Heirloom" wrote: Are we talking about CCleaner???
