Make sure your system drive has enough free space for your program. 2. Open a MSDOS prompt and type in "Set", read the path next to "TEMP=..." or "TMP=..." and check if you can create a text file in that directory. If you cannot, ask back here on how to proceed. 3. Try deleting the Microsoft Installer. You will loose all uninstall information, but you may be able to install normally from then on. -- Primary function: Coprocessor Secondary function: Cluster commander |

Reboot.
Open the Temp folder and delete all Temp files: -Click StartRun, type %temp% and click OK. -Press Ctrl+A to select all, then press Delete. Delete the Temporary Internet Files: Click Start Settings Control Panel Internet Options General tab. Click the Delete Files button, then put a checkmark in the box to Delete all offline content, and click OK, and OK. Close all open windows and running apps. Disable your anti-virus and screensaver. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and End Task on everything except Explorer and Systray. Try your installation again. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "Canapril" wrote in message ... have a program that I have been using since 1997 called
Corel WinWord 7 and recently I can't get it to load up.... ( I use this program to write all my writings, journal, diaries and book stuff with) So I've been trying to find out what the problem is and I can't. I have downloaded from the disc the same program so that this will fix itself but Now my IE will not let any program use theWindows/ Temp folder so that it can be installed....so I could download 100 programs 100 times but if Windows is stopping it from using the Windows/Temp folder there is NO WAY that I can INSTALL anything.! So now I am trying to find out Why Windows is not letting any download use the TEMP folder to install....and having No such LUCK! Frustrating or what....!!!! I was finally able to repair this problem.....I went into the WINDOWS folder and re-named the TEMP folder to OLDTEMP and the created a new folder and named it TEMP...then I named the COREL folder OLDCOREL then I took my program disk and downloaded it new into MY DOWNLOADS and now its Working!!
