Default Any Way to "Repair" OEM Outlook Express??

I just re-installed Windows ME for the SECOND time in 6 weeks.

Something happened yesterday morning??!! Webshots' collections.html
was corrupted --- got a good copy from backup. Outlook Express
cleanup.log was corrupted. Renamed that and let it create a new one.

When I boot the computer, it hangs after installing everything. No
errors except that it runs out of memory. When I get the memory
error, I kill Outlook Express and kill Explorer twice. Then it seems
to work OK.

Tried disabling startup group through MSCONFIG. Computer works fine.
If I launch Outlook Express, still fine. After it checks the mail in
10 minutes, it hangs -- no errors.

I suspect that there's something wrong with the Outlook Express
installation. I ran a log. No errors.

How can I repair or reinstall Outlook Express on an OEM
installation?? Don't tell me I have to re-install the operating
system again (PUHLEEZE!!)

I have no registry errors -- ran 4 different registry repairers after
I reinstalled. I run Ad-aware and Hotbot weekly. I run ScanDefrag
nightly..

Thanks.

Barb

Try:

Add/Remove Programs double-click Microsoft Internet Explorer select
Repair click Next OK.

Reboot when finished and test.

Good luck.

Thanks. I had already tried that before I posted.

It ended up that I had to re-format and re-install anyway -- I got a
system file error that I couldn't et past.

Interestingly, when I installed this time, I didn't get the same
errors in the registry that had be fixed as last time. There must
have been something that didn't install correctly a couple of weeks
ago.

Thanks anyway.
